Less than a year later, she snagged her first major television appearance: competing on America’s Got Talent. (Her audition also went viral: onstage, she bravely described overcoming crippling anxiety to appear that day, then wowed the judges with a chill-inducing rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah†on her acoustic guitar.)

Titouan was born on a little island lost in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The ocean and coral reefs provided him with everything he needed in his life. At the age of 16, Titouan went surfing around his island and noticed that the reef was dying.
Determined to act, he launched a project to realize his dreams to save the reefs of his island Mo’orea. Titouan is going to take us for a dive in his journey to create a worldwide movement of people telling the story of reef and changing the world, one coral at a time.

MusicianWhitney McGuire & Dominique Drakeford
Founded by Dominique Drakeford and Whitney McGuire, Sustainable Brooklyn fashionably bridges the gaps between the sustainability movement and TARGETED communities through various modalities, including education and events.
Sustainable Brooklyn provides access and insight to sustainability from the lens of the African diaspora to: 1) address the limitations of the current sustainability movement; and 2) implement holistic strategies that provide regenerative solutions for Black liberation - a fertile foundation upon which to thrive, unencumbered.
Through resources, events, workshops and curriculums, Sustainable Brooklyn provides tools to shift sustainability literacy to encompass cultural existence and celebration, economic liberation, self healing, land sovereignty and community preservation.
With a focus on fashion, food and wellness, Dominique and Whitney collaborate and partner with a myriad of allied stakeholders in various industries, while amplifying the work and voices of BIPOC.

Earth Guardian | Youth SolutionistWyclef Jean
In 1996, the Fugees released their monumental album The Score , which inspired notoriously prickly rock critic Robert Christgau to write: ``so beautiful and funny, its courage could make you weep.†The album, created in Wyclef’s studio in his uncle’s basement in New Jersey, hit No. 1 on the Billboard chart, spawned a trio of smash singles (including their indelible reinvention of Roberta Flack’s 1973 ballad “Killing Me Softlyâ€), and is now certified six times platinum.
But Wyclef, a child prodigy with a wealth of musical influences from jazz to classic rock to reggae, resisted the pressure to duplicate the sound and style of that masterwork. Instead, he launched himself as a producer and solo artist whose work drew from an innovative and eclectic palette that included elements of pop, country, folk, disco, Latin, and electronic music.
