Mr. Grenier is an American actor, producer, director, musician and environmentalist. An advocate of sustainable living, Grenier and partner Peter Glatzer founded the lifestyle brand SHFT.com. SHFT promotes sustainability through film, design, art and culture and lives both online and offline. Its mission is to nudge sustainable ideas and products into pop culture, and to provide context for an inspiring, modern, sustainable way of life.

Alex is 17 years old and lives in Beaumont, Texas and is both an EG national council member and crew leader. She took her first steps into activism in 2014 on the first day of summer when she heard the news of the fine arts programs being cut from her school; she along with her fellow theatre students got to work. Within two days they had gathered 20 fine arts students, got the attention of the local media, and organized their first rally at the local ISD administration building. After successfully opting out of standardized testing she made her transition into homeschooling, where it became possible for her two passions to meet: art and activism.

When she was in 4th grade, Allie Boyer started Purses for Primates, an organization that raises money for the care, protection, and rehabilitation of displaced, injured, and orphaned orangutans. Currently a member of the Roots & Shoots U.S. National Youth Leadership Council, Allie continues to raise awareness about deforestation and the impacts of palm oil production on biodiversity.

Ally Bogard is a yoga and meditation teacher based in New York City. For the past 14 years, she has led 200/500 hr teacher trainings, mentorship programs and advanced immersions all over the world. She is the co-founder of Gaiatri Teacher Training, SoundMind Meditation and Upwards.

Alex Melnyk is a Producer of WeRiseUP and President of Storyworks, a social impact creative agency. Amanda Joy Ravenhill is an active member of the international community focused on addressing imminent global challenges. She is the Executive Director of the Buckminster Fuller Institute, dedicated to accelerating the identification, development, and deployment of strategies that radically advance regeneration of Earth’s ecosystems. She also serves as advisor to the Center for Carbon Removal and is a member of the steering committee for the Nexus Global Climate Change Working Group. Christian Shaw is a waterman, adventurer, and storyteller discovering a path to make an impact in the world at the intersection of passion and purpose. Though landlocked for the better part of his life in Upstate, NY his self identification as a surfer since age 7 has continued to draw him to the sea and has cemented his commitment to protecting it.

Chris Burkard has seen more of the world than most of us could possibly hope to see in several lifetimes: from Iceland, Norway, and the Russian Far East, to India, the Pacific Islands, and South America. Burkard began contributing to Surfer Magazine, as staff photographer, in his early twenties. After several years shooting surfers in the tropics, Burkard found himself drawn to the cold waters of the Arctic. And it was there, in the northern latitudes, that Burkard expanded his reach beyond water photography to encompass adventure travel, landscape, and aerial photography—and to take his first steps as a director and filmmaker. In 2017, his film Under and Arctic Sky debuted at the
TriBeCa Film Festival.

Danni Washington is deeply passionate about our oceans and science communications. At age 21, she co-founded along with her mom, Michelle Swaby-Smith the Big Blue & You – an organization dedicated to inspiring and educating youth about marine conservation through the arts and media. Danni also served as a naturalist at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center where she helped educate thousands of South Florida children about local marine ecosystems.

Edward Norton is an American actor and filmmaker – and has received multiple awards and nominations including a Golden Globe Award and three Academy Award nominations. Alongside his work in cinema, Norton is an environmental activist and social entrepreneur. He is a trustee of non-profit organization for affordable housing – Enterprise Community Partners. He also serves as president of the American branch of the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust, and is the United Nations Goodwill Ambassador for Biodiversity.

Erica Mackie, P.E., co-founded GRID Alternatives in 2001 and as CEO has helped develop it into a major national nonprofit that makes renewable energy technology and job training accessible to underserved communities. Ms. Mackie has received numerous awards for her leadership of GRID Alternatives, including the Governor’s Environmental and Economic Leadership Award in 2008, the New Leaders Council Energy Leadership Award in 2009, the James Irvine Foundation Leadership Award in 2010, the US Green Building Council’s Green Building Super Hero Award in 2010 and the 2013 Clean Energy and Empowerment Award from C3E. Frits Bussemaker has a passion for bringing people together in the Digital Age. He is the founder and the chair of the ‘Institute for Accountability in the Digital Age’. An association instigated by UNESCO aimed to help define instruments for, and manage accountability in the Digital Age (see i4ada.org). Bussemaker is furthermore a coach and Program Director and supports organizations on collaboration and community building.

He has been working in the International ICT industry since the 80s. He is focused on linking Information Technology, Innovation and Impact. He started with a Dutch Start up and has since then held various commercial positions with consultancy-, software firms and associations including: CIONET where he was the Secretary General International Relations (2010-2018) a community of over 7000 CIOs where he represented the community with international institutes like the European Commission.

Hannah Herbst has a passion for learning, solving problems, and helping others. Hannah created an ocean energy probe prototype that seeks to offer a stable power source to developing countries by using untapped energy from ocean currents. In addition, Hannah has explored early identification methods for hazardous airborne chemicals in collaboration with I-SENSE at Florida Atlantic University, and is currently studying the properties of sharkskin for medical applications at the Florida Atlantic Biomechanics (FAB) Lab.

Jackson is the founder of the Team Zissou Environmental Organization, which he created in an effort to connect like-minded youth from all across the world in order to address and solve the greatest environmental issues humankind is currently facing. While attending San Clemente High School, Jackson led a campaign that ended the sale of plastic water bottles at over sixty school cafeterias in Capistrano Unified School District. He also helped lead an interscholastic initiative that successfully converted six high schools and his school district’s education center to solar power.

Juan Miguel de Joya is the Consultant Expert for Strategic Partnerships at the International Telecommunications Union where he contributes to the strategic roadmap for AI and other emerging technologies for the UN agency. He previously worked at Facebook, Google, Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Animation Studios and was an undergraduate researcher in computer-driven physics simulation at the Visual Computing Lab at the University of California, Berkeley. Kristy Hamilton is a science and environmental journalist based in California. She's spent months in rural Greece with villagers after the 2007 fires, reported on an all-female expedition to Antarctica, and filed stories from NASA headquarters. She is a 2019 WHOI Ocean Science Journalism Fellow. An occasional moderator and panelist, she spoke in September about innovations in seafood sustainability and the future of food in cell-based fish and crustaceans. Previously, she worked as a podcast host, writer, and video editor for Science Magazine in DC.

Madison is a science writer for IFLScience and contributor to a variety of publications. Most recently, she spent her summer sailing aboard the E/V Nautilus as a science communication fellow exploring the National Marine Sanctuary of American Samoa. Covering a wide variety of topics – from medical marvels to space-bound explorations, and most recently deep sea discoveries – lends to an incredible understanding of some of the world’s most pivotal and relevant science journalism.

Marcus Eriksen is the co-founder of Leap Lab, as well as the Research Director and co-founder of the 5 Gyres Institute. He studies the global distribution and ecological impacts of plastic marine pollution, which has included expeditions sailing through all 5 subtropical gyres, Bay of Bengal, Southern Ocean and inland lakes and rivers, recently publishing the first global estimate of all plastic of all sizes floating in the world’s oceans, totaling 270,000 metric tons from 5.25 trillion particles.

Marlow is a 17 year old from Boulder, Colorado. She began her journey finding her voice as an Earth Guardians National Council member. The National Council training in 2017 inspired her to do two major things. First, she launched a campaign called “Project Confidence”, which was geared towards shifting culture around school dress code from something negative to something positive and empowering for young girls. Second, she realized that education could be as inspiring as her Earth Guardians work which propelled her to leave public High School and begin a new self-learning journey.

Matthew Mulrennan is the Director of the Ocean Initiative at the XPRIZE Foundation working on prizes for innovations that solve the ocean’s grand challenges. He is also the co-founder and CEO of KOLOSSAL an ocean exploration and conservation non-profit based in Venice, California. Matt has worked as a marine scientist at ocean conservation group Oceana in Washington, DC, as a lab researcher at Scripps Institution of Oceanography in San Diego, and as an advocate on congressional and environmental campaigns. He was one of 20 candidates nominated for the 2018 Pritzker Emerging Environmental Genius Award and was the Grand Prize winner of the Con X Tech Prize a prototyping competition for conservation technology. His work on ocean issues have been featured in various media outlets; Washington Post, New York Times, NPR, BBC, and National Geographic. Matt is a passionate ocean advocate, scientist, surfer, and ocean technology enthusiast who believes in the power of the crowd, and the new blue economy to help save our oceans. Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from Miami University and a master’s in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation from Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California San Diego.

Mia is a Co-Founder and the Creative Unification Director of Operation Earth Guardians, which is the organization’s youth-led direct action and documentation team. As part of the team, she works to further educate and inspire youth, and adults, to generate safe spaces for sharing the stories of people affected by climate change with the intention of finding solutions to the most pressing issues of today.

serves in. She is an adamant fighter for social justice in her day-to-day life and is committed to the health and human rights in her work in environmental justice; she is a
co-founder of People Not Pozos campaign aiming for the permanent closure of AllenCo Energy and oil drilling operation surrounded.

Nalleli Cobo is an environmental justice activist who has been using the power of her voice and the trauma of her lived experience to fight against a powerful polluter.

For more than 30 years, an entrepreneur at heart, Neal has helped launch and grow dozens of projects and businesses with an overarching focus on impact and sustainability. Most recently, Neal co-founded the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI) to realize an inclusive green economy in LA. Over 7 years Neal helped to grow LACI into a thriving top-10 global incubator, helping 80+ companies to raise $225M+ in funding, create 1,800+ jobs, and deliver $400M+ in long-term economic value for the City of Los Angeles. Prior to LACI, Neal’s projects and collaborations include leadership roles at: Idealab, Ideawork, Livestream, Propellant Group, True Floors, United States Artists, XPRIZE, etc. Neal is a native Los Angeleno, proud dad of two kids, and nature nut.

Scarlett De la Torre is a multi-faceted global nomad, Sound Healer, DJ, musician, and humanitarian. She has traveled the world for over a decade performing in the world's most dazzling venues and Festivals such as Sunwaves, Romania and and is a heavy rotator in the Burning Man Sonic landscape at Kazbah, Distrikt, and Robot Heart. Her global mission is to raise funds to donate instruments to survivors of trafficking and refugees of war. It was through her work as a music teacher to trafficking survivors at New Light, Kolkata, that she discovered her gifts in the healing arts and the healing power of sound.

My two passions are art and the environment. I have several years of administrative, curatorial and teaching experience within the art world. However, I’m really enthusiastic about environmental issues affecting our city and planet, and would love to be able to implement my creative thinking and organizational skills towards environmental awareness within the New York area and beyond.

Sierra Robinson is a 17 year-old permaculture teacher, farmer, activist, homeschooler, Earth Guardian, and a west coast hippie child from Van Isle, BC, Canada. She first began learning about permaculture (a regenerative design system modeled on nature) at 8 years old on her family's farm and completed her first Permaculture Design Course at 12 years old. At 13, She took her Permaculture Teachers Training. Since then, she's traveled and taught groups of children, youth, families, elders, and universities about permaculture, environmentalism, and how to use and design with regenerative solutions.

Sky Cowans is a video creator and multimedia storyteller who explores health and wellness trends and topics on her YouTube channel Sky Life and social media platforms. Sky covers topics in fitness, nutrition, mindfulness, biohacking, holistic health, and ancient healing modalities. At the beginning of this year, she produced a documentary that appeared on Yes Theory about Wim Hof, and experienced extreme-cold, superhuman training with ``The Iceman`` himself. Sky got her start making viral videos at BuzzFeed and launched her channel Sky Life in 2018. Sky has a degree in broadcast journalism from Elon University.

Susi is one of the premier Red Bull athletes and during the 2003 Red Bull King of the Air competiton was given the sports highest female honor: Red Bull Queen of the Air. In 2007 she Co-Founded MaiTai Global together with Sillicon Valley VC Bill Tai. MaiTai Global is a group of extraordinary entrepreneurs, innovators and athletes. Teotecpatl Santin Martinez currently live in Mexico City and is dedicated to culture, art, dance, theater, music, spirituality, and especially fighting against climate change, He’s committed to raising awareness about the importance of one of the biggest problems of our era, climate change. His inspiration to be a part of Earth Guardians was to see the situation of the world, the pollution in his community, the waste and misuse of water, the overexploitation of our natural resources, the mistreatment of animals, and the disconnection of people with their spiritual origin with the Earth… He came to realize that the only way to heal the earth and the world is to heal our own lives.

Titouan was born on a little island lost in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The ocean and coral reefs provided him with everything he needed in his life. At the age of 16, Titouan went surfing around his island and noticed that the reef was dying.

Determined to act, he launched a project to realize his dreams to save the reefs of his island Mo’orea. Titouan is going to take us for a dive in his journey to create a worldwide movement of people telling the story of reef and changing the world, one coral at a time.

Through resources, events, workshops and curriculums, Sustainable Brooklyn provides tools to shift sustainability literacy to encompass cultural existence and celebration, economic liberation, self healing, land sovereignty and community preservation.

With a focus on fashion, food and wellness, Dominique and Whitney collaborate and partner with a myriad of allied stakeholders in various industries, while amplifying the work and voices of BIPOC.

Barrett witnessed the reality of climate change firsthand, as he was among the many impacted by the climate change fueled super storm, Hurricane Sandy in 2012, which left his family and school without power. Barrett became involved in activism in high school by becoming a member of Global Kids, an organization that focuses on developing leadership skills for youth. Barrett then became a Fellow with the Alliance for Climate Education and spoke at the COP21 UN Conference on Climate Change in Paris in 2015, at the age of 15. Barrett was among 400,000 participants in the People’s Climate March in NYC and delivered a speech at the United Nations General Assembly in support of sustainable development goals.
